AssistNOW CISD Services
AssistNOW has an established rapid response plan to help employees cope in the aftermath of traumatic events. Our response team will hold a critical incident debriefing with all employees to help them process what happened and what to expect on the path to healing. Since individuals manage stress in many different ways; our counselors will work with employees in both one-on-one and group support sessions to ensure that each employee receives the counseling he or she needs. During a CISD session, our trained professionals will:
- Provide introductions, reassurance about confidentiality, and an explanation of the purpose of the session
- Review what actually happened during and after the incident
- Review the thoughts each person had at the time of the incident and in the time since the incident
- Examine the physical and psychological aftereffects of the incident
- Educate participants on the normality of symptoms and what to look for
- Answer questions and develop a plan for any future action needed
